Illinois Tollway Seeks Public Input on Driving Connections Capital Program
We Want Our Business Community’s Voices Heard
The Cosmopolitan Chamber of Commerce encourages our members, business owners, entrepreneurs, and community partners to participate in the Illinois Tollway’s public discussion process regarding the proposed Driving Connections Capitol Program.
This proposed 15-year, $26.5 billion infrastructure investment would modernize the Illinois Tollway system, improve regional connectivity, reduce congestion, support economic development, and create thousands of jobs across Northern Illinois.
Because transportation impacts businesses of every size – from employee commutes to freight movements – we encourage our members to learn more and share their feedback.
Public remarks are being accepted through August 3, 2026.
Why This Matters to Businesses:
Better transportation means:
- Faster customer access
- Easier employee commutes
- More reliable deliveries
- Job creations
- Investment in our communities
