Grace House, located at 1801 W. Adams St., is a 13,343 sf, 3 story + basement building providing transitional housing exclusively for women returning from incarceration.
The building is a significant renovation including the conversion of shared dormitory-style rooms to single-bedroom units, comprehensive building systems upgrades, new utility services, ADA accessibility improvements, commercial kitchen addition, and landscaping and site improvements.
Trellis Group, LLC is the Construction Manager at Risk.

This Project is funded through a combination of public grants and funding sources, including grants from the State of Illinois, the Federal government, and the City of Chicago.
Specific requirements include:
MWBE - MBE 26%, WBE 6% Participation
Local Hiring – Employ Chicago residents to perform 50% of all construction hours and certified payroll is required.
IL works Apprenticeship - Requires the lesser of 10% of total labor hours worked in each prevailing wage classification or 10% of estimated hours in each prevailing wage classification to be performed by apprentices.
Union – All bidders must employ union workers.
Domestic Preference - To the greatest extent practicable and consistent with law, provide a preference for the purchase, acquisition, or use of goods, products, or materials produced in the United States.
