The Cosmopolitan Chamber of Commerce (CCC), a nonprofit, 501C (3) organization was established in 1933, it is one of the nations’ oldest multicultural trade associations. It provides business and entrepreneurial training classes, computer application, business counseling as well as technical assistance. The Chamber serves minority and female-owned businesses, seniors, students, and has long-standing alliances and partnerships with neighborhood chambers of commerce, industry associations, governmental agencies, major public, and private enterprises as well as academic institutions. Nearly 90 years of history has proven that citizens with common interests can together have a positive impact on local business as well as the community at large. The Chamber has played a pivotal role in the creation and expansion of minority and female-owned businesses and has continued that legacy into the 21st century. Many of the well-known business icons in the African American, and minority communities can attribute their beginnings and growth to CCC.
